January February
Marston's Oyster Stout ABV 4.5%

A rich dark and exceptionally creamy stout with a fruity, floral and spicy character derived from English aroma hops – Fuggles and Goldings and a bitterness derived from roasted malts.

 
Marston’s Sweet Chariot ABV 4.8%

A full and fruity flavoured beer, with a spicy aroma and the sweet taste of success for every Englishman to savour.

 

 

March April
Marston’s Sun Bright ABV 3.8%

Classic Burton pale ale which has a dry nutty flavour, and is very drinkable.

 
Marston’s Dragon Tale ABV 4.5%

Brewed using the finest quality malt and a select blend of English hops to give a dark beer with a pronounced bitterness.

 

 

May June
Marston’s Merry Monk ABV 4.5%

A traditional mild brewed using Maris Otter malt and the English Fuggles and Goldings hops to give a dry balanced moreish drink.

 
Marston’s Old Umpire ABV 5.7%

A tempting aroma of biscuity malt, floral hops, vanilla and toffee, with hints of citrus fruit.  A very refreshing ale.

 

 

July August
Long Hop – 4.0%

Light coloured refreshing beer brewed using delicious English hops to give a crisp bitterness and fresh hoppy aroma.

 
Night Watchman – 3.8%

A very quaffable light coloured but full flavoured beer.  A pronounced bitterness compliments subtle malty flavours to give a sharp refreshing character to this beer.

 

 

September October
Pure Blonde – 4.2%

Light coloured refreshing beer brewed using delicious English hops to give a crisp bitterness and fresh hoppy aroma.

 
Wicked Witch – 4.6%

A rich russet brown coloured beer with complex malt and hop flavours.

 

 

November December
Blazing Ale – 4.5% ABV

A malty full bodied beer made from a malt grist of Maris Otter and a touch of crystal to give a warm chestnut colour.  Brewed with a blend of Fuggles and Goldings to give a mellow bitterness.

 
Ugly Sisters - 4.5% ABV

Brewed using Golden Promise malt and Fuggles and Goldings hops. This beer has a distinctive nutty, malty character as well as subtle fruity, spicy notes. A real Christmas Cracker!

Crafted using the almost forgotten "double dropping" fermentation technique to deliver a fresher and brighter beer that brings out the full (malty flavour of Maris Otter "the king of brewing barley") clean flavour of the malt. A large application of late hops are added to the wort kettle to enhance the aroma and give a sense of the bitter flavour of beers of the past.

Brewed to a recipe believed to be over 500 years old, using well water, both pale and roasted malted barley, and English hops. Owd Rodger is a homage to an old style country ale with an explosion of rich fruit flavours followed by a dry, bitter-sweet finish. At 7.6% ABV it should be savoured in moderation. It is hard to better this classic winter drink.
